Fr. Charles Hall was opened in 1890 as St. Peter Claver School. In 1973, the school was renamed Fr. Charles Hall and the Elementary and Middle school campuses were separated.

Situated just off Pennsylvania Avenue in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood of West Baltimore, Fr. Charles Hall Elementary works with students from some of the poorest neighborhoods in the city. The devoted staff works tirelessly with the students in order to imbue them with the positive outlook that will help them break the cycle of poverty. The caring atmosphere at Fr. Charles Hall nurtures and cultivates a strong Christian attitude and a motivation for education.
