St. Mary of the Assumption (PreK – 8) is located in the Govans neighborhood in North Baltimore where it endeavors to develop a Christian attitude of self worth within each child in an atmosphere of disciplined learning. The school aids in the development of a healthy, happy, self-image and helps to provide a spiritual foundation that enables each student to learn, to love, and to serve God and others. St. Mary School opened in 1874 and the tradition of academic excellence begun so long ago, continues to this day.
